   As an irrational consumer, I want companies to know that if you tell me a thing I might like costs £14, but I then have to click add to basket and fill in name address email, untick several boxes to say I don't want to create an account or receive marketing emailS, tick others to say I've read the small print only to find shipping is another £12, I almost certainly won't buy your thing.
   OTOH if you tell me your thing is £26 delivered, or just have a shipping rates page, I probably willllllllllll

     This is the Shopify experience, and every single small independent maker selling stuff indirectly forces it upon their potential customers.
