@thibaultamartin Haha! It honestly depends. I turned this entire piece around yesterday, testing included. I love writing and I love all things gaming, so it rarely feels like work.
This is what impressed me most. I ditched the canned benchmark and measured Dirt 5's performance playing an actual race, and the uplift in FPS made a really positive impact. More responsiveness, and the game just FELT faster!
And yes, this is integrated graphics at 2560x1600 without sacrificing image quality! #AMD
@thibaultamartin I sincerely appreciate that gentle reminder. I've experienced burnout on more than one occasion, and it can do lasting damage to the things you typically enjoy.
This is why I have been very slow to spin up Linux For Everyone again. I have to know I can handle my main gig first, and at a level that's financially sustainable.
I'm an OSS and existential crisis type of person, so writing about the impact of OSS on society is how I relax, but I still feel like a slowpoke doing 😁
You've probably been there already, but as someone who has a lot of overlap between what they love and what they're paid to do I can only recommend to pay close attention to early signs of burnout.
In any case, keep up the good work, it's a joy to follow and read you :)
