   One thing i really adore and the #fediverse is the amount of control you have about what you see. Instance is flooded with racists, bigots and other trash that is being put in your timeline? Go to one of the profiles -> mute entire domain and it's gone from your feed, searches, replies, retoots etc.

   The ease of curating the people i want to talk to is pretty great

     @Chase why wouldn't you report those accounts so they could be banned for everyone?🤨

     If that's what most people do, just mute, then no wonder we have a moderation problem....moderators don't know something exists if you don't report it...

     @Chase both is preferred, but if a moderator doesn't get a report, they literally can't take action unless they see it themselves. There's no automated report system or anything...

     @BeAware Do both. Moderation takes time and gives away control to a moderator that may or may not take action
