     Just had a flash of my reading light from childhood. It was small, attached to the headboard, had an adjustable arm. The part that hit me hard was the smell of the melting plastic / metal shade after aggressively consuming mystery and sci-fi for several hours.

     Comforting. Toxic. Amazing.
