   Wie dem auch sei: Meine Empfehlung ist immer Java Edition.

   Sie ist chaotisch, wild, voller unbekannter Mitspieler, die unkontrolliert miteinander interagieren, die DInge auseinander nehmen und wieder zusammensetzen und unerwartete Dinge tun.

   Es ist eine ausgezeichnete Umgebung, um sicher Erfahrungen zu sammeln und es gibt einen klar vorgezeichneten, wild zugewachsenen Pfad, auf dem man tausend Dinge lernen kann.

     In 2021 war mein Kind 11 und spielte seit einiger Zeit Minecraft Java Edition.

     Unsere Erfahrungen habe ich in diesem Artikel aufgeschrieben.

     Java Edition war für ihn ein Gateway zu Youtube, zur Programmierung in Java und zum Betrieb eines eigenen Servers auf einem eigenen Dedi.

     Inzwischen hat der Discord >1500 User, der Server ist ein gut ausgelasteter 12-core Xeon und er startet gerade einen Patreon, und er ist ein solider Java-Dev.

     Desperate to earn back the money (and to create a showcase for C#), Microsoft wrote a second version of the game, Bedrock Edition, for consoles and cellphones.

     This edition is sterile, monetizing the game completely, and forcing you to become a registered developer paying a share to Microsoft to be able to mod.

     The "Deluxe" Edition sells you a bunch of "items" that have value only in Bedrock, because you get them and more for free in Java Edition.

     Ten years ago, in July 2014, Notch casually offered his share in Minecraft for sale on Muskodon.

     Microsoft bought and closed the deal this week, on 2014-09-14, for a slim $2.5bn.
