It's bonkers that in 2024 you still have websites like kamalaharris.com using .com. Wha? You're admitting a political campaign is a commercial enterprise? Now there's .vote for instance. Or even just .info, one of the earliest (and totally underutilized) TLDs.

@ntnsndr Admitting? Does anything suggest that it ISN’T a commercial enterprise? (a) it is a private legal entity, not public. (b) the web site’s number one job is raising money for that company (c) they must at least own that domain, else a squatter will do silly things with it
The meaning of .com was lost decades ago. You may be surprised to know that many domains that end in .rodeo are not literally about rodeos. And .co domains have nothing to do with Colombia just like .tv domains rarely have anything to do with Tuvalu.
