   euro truck simulator 2 has an absolutely staggering amount of hand-laid-out scenery and in particular the recent DLCs absolutely knock it out of the park with an enormous amount of detail to Just See if you take the time to look

   and I particularly appreciate that I can just zoom in on this random gas station and clearly make out every postcard and road map they are selling

     @whitequark @0xabad1dea Having spent something like 250 hours on that game that led me to become an actual semi driver, I can wholeheartedly recommend that game.
     
     Personally, I really liked the twisty roads in the swiss Alps: beautiful scenery. And the devs are regularly updating the map, even in the non-DLC area.
     
     You also might enjoy the "I'm a satnav" achievement: discover 100% of the map (from "hat I remember, the game is merciful, it gives it to you at 99.9% 😁)
