I wash my iPhone 14 Pro Max 📱 in the sink with water 💧 and soap 🧼. My wife always feels anxiety when I do that, but it comes out so sparkling clean!

I would think you know this already.
However, the "waterproof" seals on these devices aren't permanent and the chemical abrasives in soaps can, and probably will, damage those seals over time. When the seal is broken, water will get into the phone and ruin it.
It obviously hasn't happened yet, but it definitely can, and probably will happen at some point.

BeAware :fediverse: (beaware@social.beaware.live)'s status on Sunday, 08-Sep-2024 20:32:57 JST BeAware :fediverse: @MarcusAnthonyCyganiak water alone is different than soap. But yeah, it takes time. It might even not be a big issue because maybe by the time it happens, you'll already need or want a new phone anyway.🤷♂️
Just something to BeAware of.😉
