@Ronnie21093 But of course they will continue to keep using youtube instead of something like peertube or putting the .webm file on your website (plus a torrent of the .webm).
There is no chance in hell of most people of getting a meaningful amount of profit from youtube - you shouldn't do so, but ads on your website with the video would probably net more profit in all cases.
@Suiseiseki Unfortunately, despite how shit it is, YouTube is still the largest video platform on the internet. If one wants to monetize their video content, they pretty much have to go to YouTube. Anything else is too small to be realistic alternatives. :tanya_sigh:
@Suiseiseki Another problem is uh... Good luck actually CONVINCING people to go to a different site to watch videos. Because you'll have a hard time convincing the average person to do that, even if they are fans.
