    Cyan, Inc., also known as Cyan Worlds, Inc., is an American video game developer and publisher based in Mead, Washington. Founded as Cyan Productions by brothers Rand and Robyn Miller in 1987, the company created the Myst series.   @animeirl @vriska if you have only five people making 50k$ a year you'll burn 3mil a year, assuming no benefits/overhead/etc.
  
  this is where a lot of small studio fail too. they get excited and hire up to 20 people and burn off their runway at a meteoric rate. happens a lot

  @shibao @animeirl @vriska this is also why wadget eye tends to use moonlighters and nobodys for voice. the guild voice actors are like 80-100$ per minute and almost all of that is consumed by union fees.
  
  nobodies go for like 8-20$ per minute and literally make the same amount of profit.
  
  this is PROBABLY why warframe is voiced almost exclusively by random employees.
