   Threads DEFINITELY has a way to block specific Fediverse users from interacting with your posts, a majority of sites DO have moderation, and there's not even a way to quote post at all on Fediverse yet officially, so one cannot "stop" something that doesn't exist yet...someone call this person out on these lies, please.

   Who the hell is telling people these things?!?🤦♂️

   No wonder people don't wanna turn it on...someone's running around spreading misinformation about Fedi.

     @gaberivera PS. Limiting quote posts doesn't really do much when every device has screenshot capabilities.

     Once it's on the internet, you're not gonna stop someone from talking about it if they want to.

     I don't enjoy the feature that conflates a link with a quote post. If that comes to Mastodon, I'm switching softwares.

     I cannot *discuss* a post someone else made? That's asinine to me. I'm on my own website and I'll do what I please in that regard.

     "It's misleading" is very nice of you.

     It's pretty much all slander with no backbone...I don't see a single truth there... everything that comes from Fediverse, they'd be able to see just like I can...

     @BeAware @gaberivera@threads.net Huh, I forgot you can even block too. Now I see that's possible. Yeah, I think it's overstated, and overall misleading. That said, if I understand things correctly, Threads will notify you when someone links to your post (because their post becomes a quote post of the linked post.) And Threads shows you who likes of course (which is still missing for fediverse posts from Threads?) So there's arguably more...control/visibility still?
