   “Word salad” is another well used descriptive metaphor that is slowlly becoming so overused it is approaching unuseful and meaningless in this the age of the decaying orangee convicted felon/childrapist.

     The word 'salad' implies that Trump is collating words that actually go together, like ingredients in a salad. What he actually does is throw everything you might eat in a day into a bucket, hauling out handfuls of the stuff in response to questions.
