     @BinroHeretic @lednaBM well, think what you like, I don't even know which theology studies you refer to, US "bible schools" or the good stuff at European universities.
     Still you can consider it a waste, like I consider econom| a waste (no one needs a degree to know how to knot a tie)...
     Theology does in fact give you a very broad sight: history, philosophy, psychology, literature... to name a few. I wouldn't want to miss it.

     Or, put into the field of theology: Knowing that Paul did probably not write Hebrews does not yet help. You have to make something of it.

     Science helps us understand how the world works. Religion helps us to live in the world.
