I just realized that Spec Ops: The Line - one of the most thought-provoking shooters ever made - has been completely delisted from all digital storefronts. I used to have the Xbox 360 disc, but it was lost to time and moves.
I'm getting really sick of publishers just deleting games from existence.

@killyourfm Not to mention that any attempt to preserve these games is met with cease-and-desist letters, DMCA uses, or litigation. A project worked on for years by hundreds of people, and enjoyed by millions, completely legally inaccessible by anyone who didn't already "own" it.
Because the publisher didn't want to renew the license to the music in the main menu, and couldn't be bothered to change it.
It's infuriating.

Stupid music licensing. Whenever I think about it, I feel like it should be handled differently. It's okay to pay a certain licensing fee ONCE, but it should be clear that the media is rolled into something else. It's transformed and becomes part of this new property.
I want to shout "do it like the movies!!!", but then I remember that they removed the iconic Frank Sinatra intro on the DVD releases of "Married with children"...due to licensing costs. 😩
