   Have taken the plunge and changed the physical SIM on my iPhone 13
   To an eSIM. I was previously dual SIMming with one physical and one eSIM, but now I’m dual eSIM and the SIM tray is empty.

     @goatsarah the current one is also eSIM only. As I found out the hard way when i needed to configure one for a parent.

     @doc It's more complicated than that. They removed the SIM trays on the US models. All European models of all iPhones still have SIM trays.

     I have an American friend who buys her iPhones from Europe for precisely this reason.

     Maybe they were selling US stock for some reason?

     @goatsarah weird, because I bought an iPhone 15 (base model) from the Berlin Apple Store recently for one of my parents, and that didn’t have a tray.
