Well, I thought my PC problems were solved by replacing the CMOS battery. There was an improvement, but at the strike of midnight the clock and date revert back to 11pm. Then the time is off from there.

Syncing the time fixes the issue, but if I reboot, the system hangs for a long time before finally doing said reboot. Only seem to happen when the time is out of sync.

I'm just going to live with this since everything else works, at least until I gather more data.

Seems this problem doesn't happen all the time. For example, I turn the computer off when I go to work most days. I got home from work just before 3:30 this morning. Turned on the PC and the time and date were fine. I also restarted it several times. No issues.

      Weird.

I do think the CMOS battery was an issue, but this is *also* related to something else.

And my PC just did it again, where I noticed it was suddenly 10 minutes behind. Not great. Still wondering if this is a hardware or software issue.

I can say the issue is happening more often now. Seems like time not only fails to sync on my PC and move forward. It actively reverts to an earlier time, say like going back by a half hour.

Shame I can't get into my bios because of a conflict between my GPU and Acer monitor. Guess I'm just going to have to live with this for a while. 🤔

I'm starting to think that after changing my CMOS battery, I never fully reset the bios.

First thing is to figure out how to resolve the issue between my GPU and monitor.

Second, check out what's happening with the bios.

      Third, reset the bios.

Before all that, hope my system stays stable enough for writing and livestreams until I can get to it. Worse case scenario, I might need to step away from livestreaming for a while.

And the computer won't turn on. I don't have the time to look at it either. So there's a good chance I won't be able to livestream for a while.

@enchantedsleeper Thanks! I'm somewhere between attempting to fix it myself or hauling it off to a repair center.

I have an appointment with Microcenter tomorrow. I had the PC fully off since yesterday, switched off at the power supply. Curious, I switched the power supply back on and pressed the power button to see if my PC would boot.

It did, as I'm on my PC right now. The date and time were wrong at boot, but once Windows loaded the date/time corrected itself.

I'm suspecting a BIOS/CMOS issue. However, this system is still going to Microcenter. LOL.
