SuperDicq (superdicq@minidisc.tokyo)'s status on Wednesday, 04-Sep-2024 02:57:17 JST SuperDicq @sneeden@iddqd.social @Forestofenchantment@clubcyberia.co I think it is the best game in the series.
Burnout Revenge tried to do the same Linkin Park music video shader that Need for Speed Most Wanted does, but Most Wanted did it better. Burnout 3 is actually nice looking and colorful. Revenge also has a lot of gameplay mechanics that I do not like such as traffic checking and the actual Revenge mechanic that adds not a lot to the game.
Burnout Dominator doesn't do anything new and removes a lot of features like Crash Mode. It's decent but more of the same.
Burnout Paradise I personally don't like at all. An open world does not work for this type of game.
The one Burnout game people are really sleeping on is Burnout Legends for the PSP. It is really good actually.
Burnout Legends is weird as it is literally just a remix of all the former games thrown together on top of some new and exclusive stuff.
* Game engine and maps ported from Burnout 3.
* Cars from both Burnout 2 and 3.
* Soundtrack from Burnout Revenge. -
