     @64bithero this is the Patreon for Fedi. Patreon and other services like it have to take more of a cut.

     @BeAware I am willing to pay for video content , games and Physical items. I am not willing nor should anyone be willing to pay for 250 character or less “toot” or photos. I’m not on here to make money and most people aren’t. Much like Wikipedia donations and funding can sustain. Want more ? There is patreon, esty among so many others. I am not side your income

     @64bithero nah, I can't put posts behind a paywall that already exists.

     I can make new posts specifically for that purpose, same as a Patreon user can do.

     It's literally Patreon. I'm failing to see much difference.

     @BeAware from what I’ve gathered it’s gate keeping over existing mastodon content. So GIFs, text posts, picture and hyperlinks. I’m not paying to looking at a GIF. I am not paying to click a YouTube link. Offering something bigger? Something worth a price maybe that could work. I like most people use this to laugh at cat photos. I am not paying to do that. If people had to pay for Facebook it never would have worked. Twitter blue? Didn’t work…
