Is #Bluesky fully federated like #Mastodon yet? Last time I checked there was only one server for all users, despite the underlying protocol supporting federation.

@BeAware @ilyess yes, federation is turned on (not really the same architecture as AP in any case)
There are 227 separate personal data servers (PDS) https://blue.mackuba.eu/directory/pdses
It’s open source and you can run your own. You can connect into Bluesky’s client, or use a third party client.

@BeAware @ilyess Whitewind has defined a long form blogging “lexicon” (data type, like AP Vocabulary where microblogging = note, long form = article).
All Lexicons get stored in a user PDS and no new accounts are needed.
Whitewind also has a front end AppView which lets you author & read blogs. Anyone could write their own AppView.
