@torstentorsten@randahl we need a politician (or hell, a musician running for office for funsies) to use Disney songs in all their ads and rallies. Disney's lawyers will win for us
@torstentorsten the key reason is, some use of music may reflect back on the artist. So even though everyone can legally LISTEN to someone's music, that does not mean that anyone can use the same music for ANY purpose.
It works the same way for all types of art. In Denmark for instance, there is a sculpture of The Little Mermaid which every tourist takes pictures of, but that does not give you the right to use a picture of this sculpture in a political campaign, in movies, on posters, etc.
