@Johann150 but that doesnt makes any sense at all, if they only have paid content and you need an account on their own server then why using activity pub
@Jain@blob.cat what I meant is they masquerade as a masto server but have more restrictive API rules attached to payment. But from looking at their website they do mention "activitypub". So maybe it's like a fedi server that automatically denies follow requests unless you pay basically
@Jain@blob.cat :neofox_confused: the author needs an account on their server because of the payment stuff. And then you can follow them from any other fedi server. And then they'll only post followers only and you can only follow them if you pay.

@Jain@blob.cat firstly I suspect nobody on blob.cat will subscribe to them and even then they probably just block you and the respective followers maybe move over to Mastosoc &co
