     Or the fact that you can't limit replies?

     The latter is supposey being looked into. The former is definitely an issue sometimes and people need to stop being so "self-righteous" about everything.

     You're not better than anyone else just cause you refrain from YouTube.

     People can be weird. Though, this is the internet, people say words, and sometimes those words are not nice.

     That's not a Fediverse thing, that's a human thing.

     @Flaky thats why it's good that Threads, Flipboard, and BlueSky through BridgyFed, are starting to federate.

     More users will drown out this problem.

     @BeAware It might not just be a fedi thing, but it’s prevalent enough on the fediverse that Alec felt it was worse for his mental health than Bluesky. I’ve had to leave Lemmy for similar reasons so can certainly relate. I think Mastodon is looking at improving things so hopefully the technical aspect will be sorted out, but the cultural aspect… IDK.
