   Also, RIP to the myth that Zuck is "the good one." Which is something anyone with a brain told folks simply wasn't true.

   On some level I'm sure "billionaires existing" is the bigger mistake, but damn if "Facebook existing" doesn't come close.

     Also, I hate how the American fascist party has managed to chain those two stories together; because I think it definitely WAS a mistake to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story which woulda burned out on its own and wasn't fake. But Zuck telling Jordan essentially "he regrets not letting conspiracy whackos kill more people during Covid" is fucking outrageous and damning.

     But if I want to talk about one, I have to talk about the other because we truly are on the worst timeline. I hate everyone.

     @AnarchoNinaWrites Zuck dying on the hill of "freedom of harmful misinformation amplification" is such a weird thing but here we are and there are the buried bodies and broken families from it.

     I really wish stupidity wasn't profitable.

     The Fediverse may not be perfect, but hey! You don't need to be stinking rich to run your own li'l server and lately I also discovered that complaints about troublemakers you might have caught on your instance actually *do* reach you, enabling you to do something about fascist trolls.

     Keep the units small enough and there's plenty of moderation staff to take care of the fascists, climate change deniers and other assclowns trying to poison a civil discourse. Not bad at all. 😇
