Watching #aewallinlondon and what better way to demonstrate that #aew is superior to #wwe than to have #MJF once again show that anything #CodyRhodes has done, Max does it better.

Maybe in the ring, but Cody's done more for the wrestling business than most others besides those directly involved like Tony Khan, Kenny Omega, and the Bucks.

CatBusRuss: Russ Stevens (russstevens@mastodon.social)'s status on Monday, 26-Aug-2024 22:50:25 JST CatBusRuss: Russ Stevens @BeAware @DJxSpeedy @mayhemshow Cody had an ego that triggered All In. & that ego is why he left AEW. He isn’t Tommy Dreamer who wanted to build something to greatness. His goal has solely been to put himself over. In AEW, he tried to make himself be the promotion’s Dreamer, & we saw through it. WWE celebrates him & the CM Flunk solely because they turned away from AEW. No one in WWE is sincere. They’re just Coca-Cola. Brand over quality.

Yeah, we'll probably never get the story of why.
I speculate that those types of issues were occuring with the crew along with the fact that he really wanted to stay a babyface and his "traditional pro wrestling values" tells him that when a crowd starts to boo, you turn heel and he didn't wanna do that.
I think a combination of those two, the massive paycheck WWE gave him, and the amount of respect he received from Triple H and Vince by them going to his house for the talks caused him to leave. It wasn't just a simple reason and with disintegrating relationships being involved, he'll never talk about it.

Wrestling Mayhem Show (mayhemshow@sorgatronmedia.social)'s status on Tuesday, 27-Aug-2024 02:17:23 JST Wrestling Mayhem Show I'm not sure we got the full story on Cody leaving. I think it's probably some personality and pressure issues between him and the whole crew. Or just WWE saying “We got this sack of money over here"
I think he was pulled being a producer of the show and talent and realized he wanted to be a focused talent on that. and WWE has a tremendous machine behind him.
AND he brought things we liked about AEW with him. Raising up everyone. ~ Sorg ( @sorgatron)
