     @PopulistRight @MelGibsonafter4Beers What is interesting is that we have a death cult that is afraid of death. The idea of "death panels" is seen as something horrible, but the alternative is spending 10 million dollars to try and keep each boomer alive ( which they think they deserve )
     
     Back in the 50s .. there was only so much they could do, so a doctor was "the death panel" so to speak, they made the call that nothing more could be done, and that was the end.
     
     But now with all the pretty amazing medical stuff we've made, the choices for what can be *tried* to keep a person alive is huge.

     That said, protocols should be followed which do NOT cause pain/suffering in the poor creatures. Existing methods are often brutal and disgusting - simply because there is no advocate to object.
