   Your response -- even to counteract them, dunk on them, swear at them -- amplifies their message.

   Trolls want that. They feed on your time and attention.

   Resist the urge to respond.

   If their content is hateful, abusive, or discriminatory, dm the group moderators via "Privately mention" with the account name and a screenshot.

     @mmalc AND: it's light years better than the morass of corporate social media.

     I can't promise you we'll be perfect, or get it right 100% of the time, but we will definitely work to be thoughtful and consistent, and err on the side of empathy and caring.

     @mmalc Please, keep dm'ing - the group, Tim, whatever is easiest for you.

     We are working to support conversation that is constructive and spirited, with a focus on topics that speak the truth about the Harris/Walz campaign, and how their victory is a good thing for the country.

     Moderation is definitely tricky and complex. We're all here because we care, and because we know the stakes.

     Moderation tools here also lack some features, unfortunately.

     I've DM’d numerous times, though directly to Tim — I'll note to DM the group in future, thank you.

     In addition to “hateful, abusive, or discriminatory", though, I (and I think a lot of others) would much like to add “bringing up Gaza”. It's not even necessarily wanton trolling — some are probably well-intentioned.

     IMHO there's no good that can come of it, it perennially derails conversation from constructive topics.

     I beg you, shut down such threads immediately.
