   @LostShakerOfSalt @confederatehobo No he was trying to get back into politics after being persona non grata for years so he wrote it in the hopes local Italian aristocrats would find him a valuable advisor. The book itself has been blown out of proportion for what it is. It's all just common sense stuff for statesmanship like "don't fight expensive wars" and "don't hire corrupt retards".

     @weaf @LostShakerOfSalt @confederatehobo if anything what is shocking about it, is that it is kinda like the 16c italian realpolik book, and because it is very blunt about things but so removed from current concerns it serves as a good introduction to people about how the sausage gets made
