     Sometimes I just like seeing old photos of big groups of friends. Like many, I have become somewhat strange in the wake of COVID--traveling less and typing more, not entirely unhappily. But spending time in Boston with @debcha and pals, many of whom I still keep up with at some level, was a definite joy.

     Happy #WorldPhotographyDay

     Shuffling through my 20-year old Flickr account, I realized that my most "popular" photos are not necessarily my favorites. The ones I like are the ones that have some sort of personal meaning or that represent things that are no longer there.

     My mother (RIP) kept a lot of things. This is a cancelled check from my father (RIP) to an airline that's been defunct since 1991 written from a bank that's been defunct since 1991. It was written on my mother's birthday.
