I'm not only talking about what they *bring* but also what they become an indicator for, e.g. Musk vs advertisers.
Occasionally someone is a frickin' lighthouse beacon because when you consider the "popular opinion", it ranges from extreme left to extreme right, from utter lunatic to genuine genius and everything in between. Those, obviously, cannot all be right.
