Zero for agricultural work. You got paid by the pound for picking fruits or vegetables. IIRC, a penny a pound for green beans.I worked at a car wash for a few weeks in 1974. The minimum wage was $1.60 (federal) according to

I think I got paid $2 or $3 an hour plus tips. The "manager" got $5 an hour.I got a GS5 job at McNary Dam later that summer & was paid more than the car wash manager. Had to pay for a spot in a trailer park though - maybe $30 a month.
