     And the ridiculous systems they concoct that make using the insurance just as haltingly prohibitive aren't better, except you get a shiny wallet card for coroners to learn you had a job before they got hold'a you.

     And who in what fucking insanity and peyote stupor determined we should pay some people small but still large amounts of money to get someone else to pay doctors all their money, and the hospitals that require more money for one service than 5 workers can earn in a life?

     @GGMcBG -- The reason is because the US Government was squeemish about putting an entire industry out of business. It's a bad look. So wend up with the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).
     A single-payor system or Universal Healthcare would end the health insurance industry in one swoop.
     Look who stepped in and blocked student loan forgiveness. It was the lenders who didn't want to see their wealth-stream end. The US Government is in collaboration with business. GOP=Fascism DEM=StatusQuo
