@prefetcher It's kind of pointless to rent a domain for more than 3 year upfront, as the domain rent goes up around every 3 years or so and the credit in the register suffers from inflation too.
For some bizarre reason, the only tld with bearable rent over the long term is .com (last time I checked the typical price was $11 USD/year).
You would think that .xyz would be cheap, as starting off $1 a year, but of course the renewal price is higher than .com.
