@rrustema020 @notjustbikes much like 85% of everything in amsterdam they're entirely there for tourists so they don't have to adjust their behaviour at all. I've heard from tourists who had a terrible time in amsterdam because it simply had not occurred to them to not attempt all travel in a hired car

ReindeR Rustema (rrustema020@mastodon.nl)'s status on Thursday, 15-Aug-2024 01:41:57 JST ReindeR Rustema After receiving more ad hominem insults from Amsterdam’s most vocal taxidriver (because I said something in the newspaper) I was wondering, have we already seen a video from @notjustbikes about taxis? In what way do they contribute to a city? I think of Amsterdam, which is a magnet for taxis, one for every 351 inhabitants! https://www.ilent.nl/onderwerpen/taxiontwikkelingen-en-trends/marktbeeld In a city where you can cross the old centre by foot in 30 minutes. Amsterdam can't limit them without better national legislation.
