   I mean, if we’re dreaming….

   Former MN Gov Jesse Ventura was weirdly obsessed with having a unicameral state legislature — something that basically nobody else cared about or was asking for. (State Sen doesn’t have the same US Sen proportionality problems.) He was probably kind of on to something though? Or just off on another weird Ventura tangent? Who knows. He was kind of inscrutable. Regardless, totally died on the rocks.

     @inthehands @JessTheUnstill It works okay in Nebraska, the result of a progressive reformer in the 1930s.

     On that note though, I think the NE Legislature's greatest strength is that it's officially nonpartisan. It definitely has two parties and heavy Republican control, but party majority doesn't give you control over things like blocking legislation (as in Congress). Popular "bipartisan" bills can still get passed even if Republican party bosses disagree.
