   Every single normgroid i know changes their smartphone every year it's pretty weird , i am a tech enthusiast and i used iphone 6S from 2015 to all the way to early days of lockdowns in 2020

     @mikuphile @TornadoOfTerror I use my sail foam way more than my PC just because it's convenient. Still it's like 4½ years old and I'm only just starting to look because it's got some battery and antenna issues.

     @TornadoOfTerror Yeah, it's very silly, especially when you consider that smartphones are just toys. I have more respect even for laptoplets than for such normgroids.

     @BowsacNoodle @TornadoOfTerror That was certainly more tolerable when I was a normgroid and used jewgle's gboard, but the keyboard that I use now doesn't support it:mito_weary:.

     @mikuphile @TornadoOfTerror There's Swype texting on both major platforms now including side loaded stuff. Some people can't stand it, which I guess I understand. Nothing replaces a real keyboard, but sometimes we have to compromise.

     @mikuphile @TornadoOfTerror I'm told I'm a rather patient guy. Also it isn't nearly as slow as it used to be when you last tried it, I reckon. "App" software has came a seriously long way. Having touch screens makes digital painting pretty easy for blending stuff, especially with a stylus.
