@getimiskon yeah I honestly feel like people are misdirecting and making the problem worse when they whine about the last supper or whatever instead of everything just being ugly and soulless

@meso the issue isn't necessarily the artistic choices they picked, like the last supper. But the whole thing is fucking ugly. If there's something we learned in greece from 2004 is that olympics is mostly a waste of money, where the people pay a fuckton of money for something they won't even use, as well as a way to make poor people suffer even more.

@meso @getimiskon If you want to find out why everything is ugly, find your average modern artist or graphic designer and just ask them what they think about life and their relationship with their family. 9 times out of 10 these people have horrible attitudes, they're constantly negative, they hate their own parents and ancestors, they constantly blame other people for their problems and they're also usually diagnosed with one type of mental illness or other. It's no wonder everything is ugly.
And these people organise in groups and decry artists and designers who make traditionally appealing art. Some time ago there was this American artist who was famous for drawing art for postcards, holiday cards and things like that. He drew nice pictures of rural villages, forests, cottages, that kind of thing. Very inoffensive but also very conventionally pretty pictures. You know what happened to him? He became "the most hated artist in America" according to the artist scene. Simply for drawing nice things.

@lebronjames75 @getimiskon @meso The guy was a bit of a dick sure, but there's no question that the negative things about him are being exaggerated by modern artists out of pure envy that people liked his art more than the banana taped to a wall or whatever low effort garbage passes for art these days.
