     @ale it's a bad news that 2 or 3 people control how everyone experiences Fedi.

     We're going towards Twitter again, just with different views being limited.

     For example, if you're on the "wrong" side of a specific major conflict right now, you're limited on Mastodon.social

     I have many in my circle with this exact issue.

     @ale they still make the code and can change the way every single instance works that runs that code with a simple update.🤷♂️

     Here's one of the latest worrying "features".

     An admin can choose accounts to "filter" incoming notifications from for a variety of reasons.

     These things aren't very impactful to folks like us on very small instances where we have more control, but it is a bit concerning regarding the future of the wider Fediverse to have a single company in charge.

     @BeAware Musk bought Twitter to make an elite, does not want everyone there, at least mastodon uses activitypub and many people end up mounting their own instance.

     @BeAware verification is just a Musk invention to get you the money. I believe that the path of the fediverso must be one-person instances, moreover, that client applications act as instances.
