   I am going on an Amtrak trip tonight! 22 hours to Seattle, in a tiny sleeper car with a friend; hopefully we will still be friends after this trip!

     @Bronwyn Only drawback of a roomette is that you can't stretch out with two people. A lot of time on the observation car is an antidote. I bet you'll still be friends afterward, unless the time together causes you to blurt out unpleasant truths.

     @Bronwyn Download your media before the train leaves Chico, as there's a portion of Northern California and crossing the Cascades after Klamath where you won't have a cell connection. That's my only tip.
