Saw this game at the retro game store. Yeah. That price tag is no joke. $1k for an NES game.
Bonk’s Adventure? I had to look it up.

@markwyner a little on the high end, but not unreasonable...
@GabeMoralesVR @markwyner might be rarer now. Not sure, I just saw Mark's post and decided to look up the value.🤷♂️ Matter of fact, now that I'm looking more carefully, $999 is on the low end....a few have sold for several thousands!😬
@BeAware @markwyner ...what the fuck. This has to be some of that used game market manipulation people keep going on about, because Bonk's Advenutre has been a bog standard cheap NES game for literally decades. I had 5 copies from Funcoland back in the day. It was always the Amiga version that was more sought after. WTF this is crazy and so dumb.
@BeAware @markwyner This is seriously blowing my mind, because I've been collecting and selling video games since the early 90's. I've been familiar with this game and the bonk series since the first game released (it was a big deal in 1990). Looking at the price chart the value has only recently spiked relatively, but seriously, this used to go for $5 at funcoland and they'd have stacks of them. It was considered one of those massively produced games that was good but not great.
