     @jeffowski So I think she has forced herself into a life she would not have chosen, if she had had more information. And this resistance, this anger and danger she perceives, is really a reaction to the injustice of not having the chance herself.

     I wonder how many older people feel cheated, and that magnifies their anger and fear. 2/2

     @GinevraCat -- I guess it's a thought. It is a more believable action to cheer for those that you would identify with when they have success or claim rights denied them.

     The contortions you have to go through to come up with this idea brings up only one question. Why?

     Why are you twisting things around to make this obvious Trumper sympathetic? They obviously believe there is some "gay agenda" and you even show that with your quote from them.

     @jeffowski Exactly. An older woman I was speaking to was upset because she "would probably have been trans if it had been pushed on her" since she always felt more boyish than girlish but "in her day, you were just a tomboy!"

     But I was a total tomboy as a young girl. I remember being the only mechanic at a party where everyone else was a princess! But I always knew I was a girl doing boyish things. I would not have chosen to be a boy I just chose not to let my gender define my actions. 1/2

     @GinevraCat -- While this scale is specific to Racism, you can replace the term "Blacks" with "Trans".
     This may open your eyes to a larger spectrum of hate that is bound up with all the right wing propaganda and identify the hidden bigots around you.

     @yohannon -- I'm fairly radical in the sense that I believe everyone should be free to be themselves.
     I have found that gender and sexuality is basically irrelevant to my daily interactions with people.
     It only comes into play if you'd "Hit that".
     Like, how #WeirdGOP is that the most important thought they have is who is fucking who and who SHOULD be fucking who.

     @jeffowski Yeah, I remember struggling when I hit 12 and I had odd feelings when I saw certain girls AND boys. This was blue collar 1970's Long Island, so no I wasn't getting any indoctrination... if anything it was really clear I was heading in the "wrong direction" in relation to the pressures I was getting from all corners.

     Nearly 50 years later and I'm still recovering from that. The dominionists just want all kids to suffer like that. 😡
