Yes, similar to nostr's npub — and similar to other things.
(It is an old technique that has been around for many decades.)

Yes. In the activity-JSON there is a field called "publicKeyPem".
...
And, yes, you don't hold it yourself. It is a delegated-key.
...
Part of what could address this is supporting keys that users hold themselves (in addition to the delegated-key).
