   I previously did not think #DonaldTrump would receive any jail time after being found guilty.

   But his allies are starting to panic which makes me wonder what they are afraid of exactly‽

     @hobs Yeah, I agree. If #Trump was jailed, it would galvanize his base but turn off moderates & independents.

     I hope you're right. That would be one brave judge if Merchan was willing to jail a presidential candidate. He'd likely get quickly sanctioned and even emergency-injuncted (is that a thing?) by the SCrOTUS if he did. End of his career as a judge, but maybe the start of Merchan's career as a politician.
