     @Viss is there actually "local" MFA thats easy to use?

     I'm ignorant on these things and use Authy for my MFA, which I assume is also cloud-based.

     and if you want MFA it depends on the context. Do you need it for your whole company and all your users, or do you just want it for yourself?

     @Viss I have Bitwarden, maybe i could use that instead. Though, all my current accounts just allow me to scan a QR code and link them to MFA.

     @BeAware with 2fa youre stuck with whatever the system youre trying to log into offers, which, sadly these days is usually sms

     @Viss Like I said though, all of mine currently allow QR codes to be scanned by 2FA/MFA apps and do it that way.

     I'll have to do some research on what my options are.

     I'm always weary of Google.😬 Thanks for taking the time to discuss this. As you can tell, I mostly don't know what I'm talking about and just used what was easy.

     @BeAware its the one i use and it works offline. you can also try duo if you dont want to use google for totp codes
