     @tisanae all of the popular init systems other than systemd use shell scripts biut chimera uses dinit which uses service files which are faster and less dogshit to write

     @coolbean @tisanae i tried installing obarun once and the installer is actually borked lmfao 🥀 install failed like 20 times in a row i could not get it to work their installer sucks :(

     @tisanae @coolbean openrc and runit are way better than sysvinit for sure, i use alpine right now but i will probably switch to chimera in the future

     @coolbean @rat neat :NynCool: I looked some of these things a few years ago, but I actually realised I don't write nor want to write service launch scripts, so openrc is good enough (i mean every rc is good enough if it is easy to use) im just a buildin gorl :osaka_box:

     @rat @tisanae strictly speaking openrc isnt actually an init system, its a service manager to run on top of the init system (typically sysvinit), like s6-rc and 66 are for s6-init (totally not confusing)
