     @mer @feld @lanodan so years ago when youtube was young, I was following a tangent and I found a bunch of people sharing cellphone video of roma. hundreds and hundreds of videos showing them stealing and trying to steal things. I am not even saying that I should draw a conclusion from this but the scale was shocking.

     @sun @feld @lanodan tbh, I have not understood the hate of roma people but maybe that's 'cuz I was raised well?
     most I think about it is some of their encampments do be stinky when they burn electronics to salvage copper but then again they do that when the encampment is next to a dump site to begin with so can't complain too much
     I also think that even tho hergé was pretty fucking racist his depiction of roma is pretty positive in the castafiore affair tintin story (patronizing but not negative)
