     I briefly lifted the kid to see what's up and it burst into flames. Not cooled enough yet.

     I hear a soft popping sound, which could be it cracking

     The little pot is out of the fire, glowing red hot, and I smothered it in sawdust and wood chips and then covered the whole thing with an aluminum pie pan.

     We'll see what happens now
