It's because "you'll learn a lot about Linux", why would I ever want to know anything more about Linux? Something tells me that if I knew what any of the BSDs were back then or had an Intel Mac in the late 2000s my life would have charted a very different path and I would have ended up infinitely more well adjusted. But no, Linux is my Windows and I just have to suck it up and deal with it. -

Intel Macs are going to be The Dark Ages in between PPC and Apple silicon when we get around to having hindsight. -
