     OK, so what if I try downloading the mp4 from Vimeo and uploading it directly? (given that uploading the .mkv I got from OBS didn’t work.)

     @aral I see a preview on this post, both in the official app and on mastodon.social website. When I open it directly on your instance there is no preview (yet?)

     Edit: on the app, it is a preview but not playable directly in the app. On the website of .social it shows an actual player for the video.

     @aral @chunshek Same here w/o preview, I assume Mastodon.online runs the nightly build containing a bugfix/feature.
