   @miscbrains from what I can find dolby digital on laserdisc was 384 kbps for 5.1 and 448 kbps for 5.1 on DVD.

     @sun @miscbrains For record, AVCHD can go as high as 640kbits every second.
     PCM is also available for NXCAM-standard AVCHD, but whose writing that to disk?
