   @miscbrains DVDs had 96khz PCM audio from the very beginning, this was 100% of the time better, at least on paper, than laserdisc.
   
   ken cranes is also where I got all my laserdics!

     @sun@shitposter.world Not for multichannel? That was my general understanding of the audio element. Took until DTS and new dolby codecs for it to catch up iirc.
